  • Engineering lead for the Shop domain team, accountable for the main web acquisition funnel for the company as well as supporting retail and inside sales channels. Team composed of 4+ squads (~20 engineers), supported by 2 EMs, and augmented with on-shore and off-shore contractors.
  • Engineering lead for the growth funnel workstream, responsible for key company OKRs including growing sales for our connected fitness units, hitting critical digital subscription conversion targets, as well as increasing adoption and reducing churn for our fitness as a service offering.
  • Partner closely with product, design, analytics, and other cross-functional leads to build and maintain development roadmaps on an annual and quarterly basis.

  • Worked as part of the growth team responsible for increasing user signups and account funding rates for new customers. Improved our platform and reduced technical debt by rebuilding our user creation endpoint in Ruby on Rails.
  • Using user and split tests I refined the user’s first visit to Betterment.com all the way through the signup funnel to increase signups as well as the quality of customers that sign up. One specific test raised our rate of signups by over 11% simply by reorganizing our signup form.
  • Participated in the product design and development phases for several components of the growth funnel using my own knowledge as well as the results of extensive experimentation.
